Although it goes without saying, feel non critical thinkers (aka everybody out there complying) needs it spelled out…

I think this is one of those simple ones that gets forgotten. It says so much, nowadays. For me, it hearkens back to the fact than we all come from another woman. It also reminds me that even though I transitioned and am now detransitioning, I’m still a woman born woman.

I was tempted of course to write it as womyn born womyn, but i think, if this were to end up on buttons and shirts, it would perhaps be more effective if it doesnt immediately set off “””alarms.””” especially with just your average woman, i feel like it could spark a conversation about what it means to be born female. for “normies,” the womyn spelling makes them tune it out. That of course shouldn’t be our only focus for an effective slogan, but perhaps it’s my sympathy for the women trapped in genderworld that makes me want to make it easier to reach out to them.

The Resist word is everywhere these days with nothing added. I like it better with what it is we are resisting as part of it.

Fifteen or twenty years ago Ozark Radical Lesbian Feminists, a group that Paula, Susan and Jeanne belonged to, had t-shirts made up with this slogan. The slogan is just as needed today as it was then.

Women only groups and gatherings have been a vitally important part of my life since my early years as a Girl Scout. Wimmin’s festivals and groups have shaped my feminist and lesbian consciousness for the last forty-five years in only positive ways. To have anyone, especially males, attempt to eliminate women only space infuriates me. We women need and want to be together!

I think the words I used are descriptive of our focus. I wanted to add caring, or loving but I couldn’t think of how to make it shorter that way, so I just put together.

This slogan appeared in the Lesbian/Feminist world in the 1970s. I did not make it up, but it has always been my favorite

Because our womxxn-only spaces are being taken over, shut down, and profaned by agents of the patriarchy

It’s playful and serious. Cuts thru a lot of the noise. It’s a good beginning point for a conversation.
